MENTOR MATCHING FORM

For Undergraduate Public Policy Students

About the Mentor Match Program

The School of Public Policy has a faculty mentoring program that connects individual students to individual professors, based primarily on the particular areas of interest of both.  We use the information provided on this form to assign you to a Public Policy professor with whom you'll need to meet occasionally.  (If you and another professor decide that a mentorship relationship between you is better, you can switch later.)

Mentors can help you with many aspects of your personal and professional development.  They can provide information about special topics courses, research and internship opportunities, and other benefits outside the normal curriculum.  You can use them as resources in thinking about your career or graduate school possibilities, and often they can help you begin developing your professional network.  In short, the mentoring program is an excellent way for you to be engaged in School of Public Policy and to take advantage of what the School can offer.

Before selecting your areas of interest, you should know more about what kinds of topics are included in our various areas of public policy research and teaching. For examples of topics in each of our "interest areas," click here.
